What this site collects, in plain words.
Short version: visit counts without cookies, and Google Analytics only if you say yes. No accounts, no profiles, nothing sold.
Always on
Counting visits, without cookies.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and where they came from. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no fingerprint. Because it cannot identify you or follow you anywhere, it runs without asking.
What it records: the page, the referring site, rough country, browser type and how fast the page loaded. Nothing that points at a person.
Only with consent
Google Analytics, if you accept.
If you accept the cookie notice, Google Analytics 4 loads and sets cookies that recognise a returning browser. Until you accept, not a single line of it is downloaded. Declining costs you nothing on this site: every page works identically.
Ad personalisation and Google signals are switched off, so the data is not used to target advertising.
Your choice is stored in your own browser, not on the server. To change it, clear this site’s data in your browser and the notice will appear again.
If you write to me.
Messages sent through the form, or to hello@alaintural.com, arrive in a personal mailbox and stay there. They are not added to a mailing list and not passed to anyone else. The form records the sending IP address alongside the message, purely to make spam traceable.
Want a message deleted? Ask at hello@alaintural.com and it is deleted.
